Mental Health is very important, and now more than ever, people should be taking care of their mental health. Now there are so many factors to influence one's mental health like the whole Covid-19 pandemic. Mental Health is defined as when one is behaviorally, and emotionally well. There are many different types of mental illnesses such as depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, anorexia, schizophrenia and social anxiety disorder, but this doesn't even come close to the total number of mental illnesses out there. A lot of the time people have symptoms of some of these illnesses but never actually get themselves diagnosed, and that is very unhealthy. Mental health is sometimes just as important as physical health, and that is why I have written this blog, to inform people about the importance of Mental Health. Having a mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of, and in fact, is surprisingly common. About ¼ of Canadians will experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their life, but the sad part is that most people who experience some sort of mental illness usually think its normal, and a significant amount of the people who realize they have a mental illness never actually get themselves diagnosed. If you think you have a mental illness contact a mental health professional, but never do anything, as most mental illnesses actually get worse over time. That is what I have to say about Mental Health, and remember there is nothing wrong with having a mental illness.
